DAHER SHOW CASES CAPABILITIES AT FARNBOROUGH 2008
DAHER, leading European equipment and services supplier, is displaying its capabilities in manufacturing, services and transport to the aerospace market on stand A14, Hall 3 at the Farnborough International Airshow from 14 to 20 July 2008.
The centre piece of the company’s display is a full scale model of a generic business jet tail cone. The model shows advanced technologies developed by DAHER, including automated fibre placement for the outer skin with “one-shot” co-cured stringers and stiffeners, a composite fire wall and APU Air Intake. DAHER’s application of the latest technology and integration capabilities offers higher performance structures in terms of weight, fire resistance, noise attenuation and structural integrity within a design, integration, validation and manufacturing capability.
“DAHER’s capabilities encompass the complete range of services to the aerospace market starting at the early stages of component design, through prototyping, production engineering, manufacturing, to a fully integrated logistics support service for high quality, complex components and sub assemblies,” said Chris Melrose, chairman of DAHER in the UK. “We provide services direct to many of Europe’s leading OEMs and have become an integral part of their offerings to the end user,” he added.
DAHER’s stand also features a model representing a typical logistics “Platform”. The company is a specialist in developing bespoke integrated logistic solutions either within the customer’s own existing or external purpose built facilities. DAHER’s services include procurement on behalf of customers, goods receipt, product identification, storage, picking and kitting to line side and production of key performance indicators (KPI) to support customer visibility.
DAHER’s services also extend to the completion of sub-assembly modules and the incorporation of such modules onto the aircraft on the customer’s final assembly line.
As well as supporting new build activities DAHER also offers repair and overhaul logistics in support of the original equipment manufactures (OEM) end user.
