DAHER aquires Vanatome & Verdelet

DAHER speeds up its expansion in the nuclear industry.

DAHER consolidates its strategy in the nuclear sector as a tier-one equipment and services partner, announcing the acquisition of Vanatome and Verdelet

Paris, 7 September 2011: DAHER, the European integrated equipment and services supplier, consolidates its position as a tier-one partner in the nuclear industry. After attaining tier-one equipment supplier status in the aerospace sector, DAHER is forging ahead with its strategy deployment, now with the acquisition of Vanatome and Verdelet, major suppliers of key equipment for nuclear islands.

With this move, the Group becomes a major partner in these two segments where French manufacturing is at the leading edge. The complementary growth cycles of these two high-tech sectors will further strengthen DAHER’s robust economic model.

DAHER today has a comprehensive and innovative offering, positioned at every stage of the nuclear cycle (from transportation of radioactive materials, through to nuclear facilities and new plants).

  • Key equipment for nuclear islands: a range of high-performance valves- key equipment for the
primary and secondary circuits of plants.
  • Engineering and services for nuclear facilities: waste logistics, cleanup and dismantling, radiation protection and nuclear measurements, maintenance, specialized engineering, etc.
  • Industrial equipment and packaging: storage and transport equipment and packaging for new fuel, irradiated fuel and waste of all types, industrial equipment for nuclear facilities, including uranium enrichment stations, etc.
  • Specialised transport: national and international multimodal transport solutions providing support for major operators at every stage of the life cycles of fuel and nuclear facilities.

Expertise in these 4 areas, and the organization of synergies between them mean that the Group can position itself as a tier-one equipment and services partner for major nuclear operators (electricity companies, fuel cycle industrial organizations, plant constructors, etc.) in France and worldwide.
